Gustav Klimt (1862-1918) was one of Austria’s‘ most vibrant artists, founding the Viennese Secession and spending much of his time being inspired by the lake at Attersee. A comfortable day out by car from Westendorf. Include a visit to the Klimt Museum and the many places he painted in and around the town of  Schörfling in Oberösterreich, just off the A1 Autobahn. Scenic route via Lofer and Salzburg 152km – C. 1hr 45m.
Recommended purchase : Autobahn Vingnette if intending using fastest (less scenic) route.
